Cruel and unusual treatment of readers. I want to know what "Thing" is likely to wander in through those unsuspecting doors...

I'm tentatively going to go with zombie, Helen. But knowing Sarah, it's probably not that simple. All the hairs on the back of my neck are standing up...

When I comissioned and edited this story, I didn't know Sarah at all. I thought she was a scary woman. Now I know she's a scary woman and a few beers later we've just about finished our first book together. Of many, I hope.

Louis, that's mean. Why does everyone think I'm scary? Just because I have an unhealthy appreciation for the living dead doesn't make me scary (just disturbed).
Fiona, I'm afraid I might have to disappoint you there.

So it's NOT a zombie apocalypse? Hmmm...

Maun is renowned for its werecrocs. They frequently saunter (their preferred gait) into supermarkets and hide among the bottled water. I only know this because I have seen it.

Richard, I think I should warn you that you make a cameo appearance in our horror book. But wish I'd thought of using the infamous werecrocs and their sauntering.

Fiona, shit, yes of course it's a zombie apocalypse. I can't help myself, and Louis dared me to do it.

I am honoured, of course, but I suspect my punning frame shall be swiftly dispatched in a fountain of blood and a flash of gore. A cameocide of note.

Richard, my guess is a stake through the heart.

Cameocide? *rubs hands together in gleeful fashion* This opens up so many possibilities. I shall start making a list of those in urgent need of sanguine dispatch right now.

@Sarah - I knew it! I KNEW it! (Okay the title was a bit of a giveaway, but still).

    I'm rather fond of stake.
