Open Position at Zebra Press: Digital Marketer

Position: Digital Marketer

Reporting to: National Marketing Manager

Department: Random House Struik (Pty) Ltd, Isle of Houghton

Main responsibilities:

  • Manage the Random House Struik brand, reputation and online property
  • Plan and implement online marketing campaigns and advertising
  • Manage SEO, PPC and/or affiliation websites as well as mobile campaigns and content
  • Implement regular mailing programmes and devise targeted campaigns
  • Manage and grow the in-house database
  • Monitor and report on success of online activities and response rates
  • Liaise with internet retailers re online campaigns and publicity as well as e-book marketing campaigns
  • Research e-marketing trends and developments and report findings on a monthly basis
  • Close liaison with publishing, sales and marketing colleagues to ensure all marketing opportunities are identified and pursued
  • Effective management of staff

Requirement for this role:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, and well developed communication and presentation skills are essential. We require an energetic, outgoing and friendly person who is presentable and professional in their dealings at all levels.
  • Strong English language skills are required for the writing of newsletters and for the web
  • An eye for opportunities and for detail
  • The ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • In depth knowledge, understanding and experience of the online marketing function
