Anni Dewani: A Father’s Story – Vinod Hindocha Couldn’t Speak for 10 Days After Dewani’s Acquittal

Anni Dewani: A Father's StoryVinod Hindocha, author of Anni Dewani: A Father’s Story, told the London Evening Standard that he couldn’t speak for 10 days after Shrien Dewani was acquitted for the murder of his daughter.

The family has since launched an appeal for a possible inquest into Anni’s murder.

Hindocha spoke about his need to write about his daughter: “The book is straight from my heart. All of the money from Anni’s book will go directly to her charity.”

Zebra Press recently acquired the local rights to publish the book.

Read the article:

Vinod Hindocha said he was so shocked by the verdict that he had been “unable to utter a word for 10 days afterwards” and had only been able to keep going because of “overwhelming worldwide support”.

He told the Standard: “The final decision of the judge was a big blow. I was in South Africa for 11 weeks, sitting in court every day. We left the court with more questions instead of answers.

“South Africa paid so much to get Dewani to South Africa and the whole case just collapsed. We are overwhelmed by the support we have received from the media and people all over the world.
